Public Comment Period and Public Hearings

The Transportation and Environmental Services Division is announcing a public comment period
to be held from March 1, 2017 March 30, 2017 so that the public can comment on the proposed
JOHRTS FY 2017-2020 TIP Amendment #2 and the FY 2040 MTP Amendment #6.  A series of public
meetings will be held March 20, 2017 March 23, 2017 for the public to learn and comment on

Criminal Justice Advisory Committee Prioritization Meetings

The South East Texas Regional Planning Commission Criminal Justice and Homeland Security Planning Division will be hosting two Criminal Justice Advisory Committee (CJAC) Prioritization Meetings this year for the Criminal Justice Division (CJD) grant applicants. Both meetings will be held at the South East Texas Regional Planning Commission located at 2210 Eastex Freeway, Beaumont, Texas 77703. Applicants please attend the meeting that corresponds with your agency/organization grant applications funding source. Meeting details below:

Foster Grandparent Program Open Volunteer Enrollment

Foster Grandparents are older Americans 55 and above who give children the most valuable gift of all their time, love and wisdom.  They mentor children from all walks of life, teaching them by their example how to solve problems, do their best in school, how to get along with others and that they are important. The service our Foster Grandparents render overlaps into the community by helping children become productive members of society.  Foster Grandparents serve between 15 and 40 hours per week receiving an hourly stipend.
